The process
A clear, structured path from your first submission to your first client placed under Martin — with Ben available throughout. No surprises, no delays caused by process ambiguity.
How it works
Step
01
Get on Board form
Eight questions about your situation, GWP, experience, and what you're looking for. Takes around three minutes. Every submission is reviewed personally — there's no automated filtering.
Step
02
Martin reviews and responds
Within one business day, Martin will be in touch to either schedule a discovery call or let you know honestly if the timing isn't right. Either way, you'll get a real response.
Step
03
Discovery call
A 30-minute call to understand your situation properly. We'll ask about your book, your current setup, and what matters most to you. You'll also have the chance to ask anything about how Martin works.
Step
04
AR agreement and compliance setup
If both sides agree it's a fit, we move to the formal AR authorisation process. Martin will walk you through the agreement, compliance obligations, and what you'll need to have in place before going live. No surprises in the paperwork.
Step
05
Market access and systems onboarding
Once you're authorised, we set up your access to the Steadfast insurer panel and ensure you have everything you need to write business. Martin will introduce you to the key contacts you'll use regularly.
Step
06
You're operational
You can place business under Martin's AFSL, access the full Steadfast panel, and reach Martin directly when you need support. Most ARs are placing their first risk within four to six weeks of the initial call.

Common questions
Most brokers are operational within four to six weeks of the initial discovery call. The timeline depends largely on how quickly you can get your compliance documentation in order and how straightforward your AR authorisation is. Martin will give you a realistic estimate at the discovery call stage.
There's no hard minimum, but Martin is best suited to brokers writing or expecting to write $250k GWP or above. Below that level, the economics are harder to make work for either side. If you're below $250k but growing, it's worth having the conversation — Martin will be straight with you about whether the timing is right.
Yes. Your brand is entirely yours. Martin operates as silent infrastructure — your clients know you, not Martin. There are no co-branding requirements, no network logos on your proposals, and no requirement to mention Martin in your client-facing materials.
The AR agreement includes standard notice provisions. If you decide to move on — whether to another network, your own AFSL, or elsewhere — Martin will work with you to make the transition as smooth as possible. Martin's goal is to be the right long-term home, not to lock you in.
No. Martin works with brokers across Australia and operates nationally — the support relationship works just as well remotely as it does in person.
As a Martin AR, you benefit from ISH's Steadfast membership, which gives you access to one of Australia's largest insurer panels. This includes domestic and international markets across most commercial lines. Martin will give you a full picture of what's available during the onboarding process.
The first step takes three minutes. Martin takes it from there.
